Gemini 2: The Duplicate Finder App Reviews

I’m a messy computer user. Gemini has saved me. Cannot do without it.

This software is great for finding duplicates and similar files, but it only has an “magic auto” selection that turns it into an useless piece of code. I don’t want the software to try to guess what I want it to do, I want it to give me the tools to make whatever I want. Example: if it finds similar photos inJPG and RAW, If choose either one it cleverly suggestes me the option to select all files with that extension. That is great, but theres no option in the menus to do it manually. Today I have to trick the software into thinking it knows what I want it to do do be able to receive the suggestion. Computers can be great when it tries do guess what we want, but when there’s no option for manual selection it becomes a burden.

Very efficient in finding and erasing duplicates. I loved it!!!

This was able to find duplicate photos where I had a jpg version, as well as a raw nef version, and made it easy to delete one version across the board

Works amazingly! Super fast and very effective. It even pops up to remind you to run a scan every couple of months or so! Awesome

I don’t usually buy these types of programs, I just go through it myself. But this one is a must-have. It goes through thousands of photos and files in minutes and streamlines the process. I reccomend.

I’ve used this software for two weeks now and it works perfectly for me. It handles large folders, filled with many RAW files, with no problems. Quick, efficient, visual interface does the job very well.

Works great for people like me who use Dropbox and the Cloud for photos and videos, and wind up with a lot of duplicates on my computer.

Seriously, you can do better. I have rescaned, reseted and rescaned et then I find some new files that have the same filename and are the same. If they are called similar, you can not ask them to delete priority the one in a folder. For images files that have a different name and then reoriented it doesn’t catch it. It doesn’t check a lot of thing finaly. The algorythm is hidden and most of the time it just catch the file has a higher size. Seriously improve. And have a improvement comment button that doesn’t ask me to login or find an email.

For $19.99 it’s very cost effective considering GB $ compromised to clutter prior to using Gemini II!!!!

This app is very polished. It’s smart and it’s easy to use. I highly recommended.

I’ve always been afraid to use duplicate file removal software. A couple of things I’ve noticed. One is that I have stored duplicate copies of files all over my Mac. If in doubt, save. This program lets you compare files and pick to one you want to delete. It also works with same or similar pictures. I found out I had all my music stored in two locations so instead of going through every duplicated song, I went to the duplicate directory and deleted that, which saved a whole bunch of time. Great program! You won’t be disappointed after your purchase.

I paid for it! And yet, every time I open it, it cannot get past the welcome slides before it crashes. I have no idea what’s causing this. Please fix this. Or I want my money back.

Very easy to use and hard to screw up. There is always trepedation when cleaning things forever and this program allows you to delete guilt free. Thanks for such a well executed program.

very simple to use, worth the money and effort!

This is one terrific app. It does what it claims to do. Yes, you may need to play detective for some of the “deep” stuff, but as that was how it was found (remember) you stored it that way, it still does a great job. Very fast, efficient and it will free up very valuable disk space. Highly recommend.

For $20 I honestly expected some type of duplicate file search. Was hoping for an all in one solution to duplicates including duplicate downloads and such, guess I was hoping for too much. A little let down for the $20 price tag. Similar photo features work awesome it just seems like half of a solution if you ask me.
